Welcome to British Hellenic College

ΕλληνοβρετανικόThe BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE was founded in 1989.  It aims at offering the opportunity of higher education to Greek students who are interested in studying according to British standards, but at the same time wish to stay in Greece.

Up to 2010-11 all our courses were validated by the University of Wales.  From the academic year 2011-12 we have started a new collaboration with Glyndŵr University (a former member of the University of Wales).

Thus, from 2011-12 BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE offers 7 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate University Courses. We expect that during 2013-14 the list of programmes that we offer will be reviewed and new ones will be added.

Starting from 2013-14 BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE will operate in a new modern building in Athens, in 11A Evelpidon Str. across “Pedio tou Areos” Park and the entrance of Panhellenic Gymnastic Association, along with the college AKTO.  Besides, starting this year, BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE will also operate in Thessaloniki in 26th October str., again along with AKTO.

In addition, since 1995 the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE incorporated as an individual sector the Hellenic Language School “Alexander the Great”, which was established in 1972.

Besides, BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE was granted by the Greek Ministry of Education a foundation license  in June 2009, a license to operate as a Post Secondary Educational Center in June 2010 as well as a license to operate as a College in September 2013 (Ministerial Decision 119645/IA/2013).

Finally, BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE has developed a very remarkable activity in the sector of International Educational Relations in the sectors of Greek Language (through the Hellenic Language School “Alexander the Great”) as well as Biological Agriculture and Agrotourism through our affiliated company European Educational Association.
