Entry Requirements

BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE offered 7 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate British University courses. Due to current unfavorable conditions, we will suspend college operations for the academic year 2015-16. The information provided on this site refers to our courses as they were offered during 2013-14 and as they will hopefully be offered again during 2018-19.

The candidates are required to fulfill certain conditions in order to become accepted in the departments of BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE.

1)      High school grades

The candidates must be High School or TEE (in the relative specializations) leavers with a satisfactory apolitirion grade.

Especially for the Engineering courses, applicants must have a grade of at least 13 in Mathematics on their apolitirion.  If they don’t they can take a special test and in case they do not succeed, they can take an intensive Mathematics class before the beginning of the academic year.

2)      English language

Since lectures are in English, applicants must have a recent certificate of adequate knowledge of the English language (First Certificate of Cambridge or Michigan or an IELTS with a grade of at least 6.0 or an equivalent B2 level certificate awarded by a recognized examining body.

Alternatively, applicants, whose knowledge is not at the recognized level are required to take special placement test held in the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE language Center.

Their acceptance on the departments of BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE is dependent on the record in this examination, under the condition that they acquire one of the abovementioned certificates by the end of the second year of studies.

3)      References

Applicants must bring one letter of reference from a high school teacher or another educational institution (a preparation institution or an English language School).

4)      Interview

They shall be interviewed by one of the College's Academic counselors, whose report constitutes an important factor in the final decision to offer a place to the applicant.

5)      Admission

The final decision about each application is made by the Academic Council and it is announced personally to the applicant.
